Desander & Gas Separator
Combines gas anchor and desander in a single compact sub — run directly in the tubing below the downhole pump to keep sand, scale, iron sulphide, and free gas out of the intake.
In practice we deploy this tool mainly as a desander. It does carry gas-separation geometry, but for wells where free gas is the primary problem we recommend the dedicated Downhole Gas Separator below.
Production fluids enter through inlet slots; centrifugal action from the spiral coupling throws solids outward while free gas separates and exhausts back up the ports. Liquid is drawn into the pump through the inner dip tube. No moving parts.
