Defeat wear at the surface.

Boronizing converts the tubing ID into an iron-boride layer an order of magnitude harder than the parent steel — without changing the API drift dimension.

Spread the load.

A tubing rotator adds 10 inches to the wellhead and turns the entire string slowly during operation — rod wear ends up distributed, not concentrated.

Fit the string correctly.

Couplings, crossovers, and pup joints are the unglamorous parts that make a string work. Sourced to API tolerance from stock or machined to order.

01 · Surface treatment

Harden the surface the pump runs against.

Rod-on-tubing wear, cavitation, and corrosive chemistry all start at the inner surface. Boronizing changes that surface from J55/L80 steel to a 1,800 Vickers iron boride layer — without changing the API drift ID.

Boronized Tubing & Couplings

Boronizing diffuses boron into the surface of tubing, joints, and couplings to form an iron boride layer — extremely hard, low-friction, and resistant to wear, cavitation, and corrosive gas attack. Used where rod wear, high solids, or acid injections would cut run life on standard J55/L80 strings.

How it works

Parts are exposed to a thermochemical diffusion cycle that forms a hard iron boride layer on the ID, or on the ID + OD. Coefficient of friction drops sharply — less cavitation at the pump outlet, less wear from reciprocating rods, better protection against corrosive gas and acid injection chemistry.

02 · Wellhead & string rotation

Rotate the string — wear every millimeter, not one line.

Tubing rotators spread rod-on-tubing wear across the full inner circumference, extending run life on deviated, directional, and older conventional wells alike. Retrofit in hours, essentially zero maintenance once running.

Tubing Rotator (S & XL)

Installed between the wellhead and the tubing hanger, the tubing rotator slowly rotates the entire tubing string so rod-on-tubing wear is spread over the full inner circumference instead of concentrating in one contact line. Effective on horizontal, directional, and slant wells — and retrofits older conventional completions with existing tubing heads.

How it works

Adds only 9 – 10½ in. of height to the wellhead. Acts as a fixed component — the BOP can be installed on top during servicing. The tubing hanger lands directly in the rotator spool, replacing the conventional hanger. Drive can be manual, pump-jack lever, or BPU (chain / cable) depending on the installed lift. A clutch-type torque limiter clicks when the string becomes stuck or sanded in, preventing over-torque without field resetting.

Constant movement of the tubing relative to the rod string also inhibits wax and solids build-up inside the tubing — a secondary but measurable benefit on paraffinic wells.

The parts that make a string a string.

Couplings, crossovers, and pup joints are API-standard items — boring until one is wrong and the whole run is wasted. We supply to API 5B tolerance, from stock on common sizes and machined to order on the rest.
